George H. SIDEHAMER, 90, of Morewood St., Mount Pleasant, died today in Frick Community Health Center. He was born July 5, 1897 in Mount Pleasant, son of the late Albert and Marie Sidehamer. He was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church of Mount Pleasant, Lutheran Brotherhood, and church dartball league. He was also a member of United Mine Workers of America. Prior to his retirement, he was employed for 42 years as a coal miner by Frick Coal Company and U.S. Steel Corp. Surviving are his wife, Adelaide Moser Sidehamer, with whom he celebrated his 63rd wedding anniversary on Oct. 14; a son, Kenneth F. Sidehamer of North Huntingdon; two daughters, Mrs. Jack (Gayle) Howells of Scottdale, R.D. 1, and Mrs. Jake (Gwendowlyn) Hough of Scottdale; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren, and a brother, Charles Sidehamer of Pittsburgh. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by four brothers, James, Andrew, Albert and Frank, and six sisters, Betty Pfogner, Emily Rehanek, Josephine Beranek, Mary Sidehamer, Anna Hohider and Elizabeth Hostoffer. 10/29/1987 - Mount Pleasant Not related to me.
