    3. Hi All, I wonder if this "Quaker "cemetery in Redstone Twp in not the one associated with the Centre Monthly Meeting? I don't know the roads in Fayette County but from the 1872 map I have figured the Centre Monthly Meeting house cemetry was located in a Y of two unimproved roads leading to Jno. McCormick's place. Up the third improved road is a listing for Wm. Sharpless, also Britts, James Craft are in the area and this cemetery is near Row Run on the map. So I wonder if this cemetery in not the old Centre MM graveyard especially if "The Church secured it for their use after it stood vacant for a number of years." means that the Redstone Baptists acquired an older church which was rebuilt/replaced. If that is the meaning of this quote then the old Centre Monthly Meeting House might have been that property and the graveyard would have come along. Sunny sent me an email one time in our searches on Peter Miller d. 1838 of Jefferson Twp. that had a will of Sabrina Sharpless setting aside money to maintain the old Center Monthly Meeting grave yard. I cannot find that email on this computer so that was earlier on. The Miller-Sharpless connection was that Peter and Tacy Maxson-Miller's daughter Margaret Miller married Jonathan Sharpless son of Joseph and Mary Sharpless as per Quaker records. They were married in 1825. I have since traced Peter and Tacy back through the Quaker records to Union Co., NJ and then back to Monmouth Co, NJ where they were probably married - at least that is where Tacy Miller submitted her letter relating to her marrying out. Tacy's parents were Mosher and Tacy ?-Maxson. I am still working on the Miller line parents but there was a mention in the Seventh Day Baptist records from this area of one Margaret Miller being baptized (adult) and removing to somewhere not stated (Hunterdon Co???) in 1774. The Maxson's were originally associated with this church.
