Ellis Edwin MOOD, 86, of Smithfield, Pa., died Saturday, January 24, 2004 in Monongahela Valley Hospital Inc., Monongahela, Pa. He was born November 22, 1917 in Braddock, Pa., son of Gust MOOD and Lilley GLOTFELTY Mood. Edwin was a member of Springhill Furnace Presbyterian Church, retired Pilot for West Virginia University, Veteran of World War II who served in the United States Army Corps of Engineers from 1941 until 1946, and a member of American Legion Post 0278, Smithfield, Pa., Fairchance Rod and Gun Club, and The National Rifle Association. He was predeceased by his wife, Emma FURLONG Mood, and parents. Surviving are a son, Joseph MOOD and his wife, Margaret NELKO Mood, of Occidental, California; a grandson, Micah MOOD and his wife, Jayna, of Johnstown, Pa.; a granddaughter, Sarah MOOD, of Occidental, California; one sister, Evelyn Renstrom, of Tarrs, Pa.; and three brothers; Walter MOOD and his wife, Virginia, of Monessen, Pa., Jack MOOD and his wife, Florence, and Carl MOOD and his wife, Linda, all of Fayette City, Pa. The Family will receive Friends in the GOLDSBORO-TOMI FUNERAL HOME, 21 East Church Street, Fairchance, Pa., on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday, January 28, until 11 a.m., the hour of Service with the Rev.
