Marjorie J. Lewellyn, 78, of McClellandtown, Pa., formerly of Uniontown, Pa., passed away Sunday, Jan. 18, 2004, at her residence. She was born March 23, 1925, in Steubenville, Ohio, the daughter of the late Clarence BUCHANAN and Opal SMITH Buchanan. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Charles LEWELLYN, on Nov. 6, 1999. She graduated from Marietta High School and Marietta College of Marietta, Ohio, and worked for many years for the Easter Seals Society of Fayette County, Pa., as Executive Secretary. Marjorie was a member of Trinity United Presbyterian Church, chancel choir and hand bells. She was also a member of the Uniontown O.E.S. Chapter No. 263, the Circle Club, Civic League of Uniontown, Past President of the Business and Professional Women, and the Garden Club of Uniontown. Surviving are a daughter, Melinda Smith and husband, Clay, of Virginia Beach, Va.; a son, Chuck LEWELLYN and wife, Brenda, of Summerville, S.C.; five grandchildren, Renee, Lindsay and Ryan Scott and Jonathan and Matthew LEWELLYN; and a sister, Joann Harrison, of Mystic, Conn.
