Ruth, dau. of Owen Davis, was born in 1769 and is mentioned in her father's will only with regard to her heirs, so she had died prior to January 12, 1803. You've mentioned that James Patton was from Saltlick Twp. There were Davises in Saltlick Twp. in the 1810 census, so perhaps Rachel is related to them. In 1810 I see both a James Patton 26-45 and a Mathew Patton over 45 in Saltlick Twp. And, not too far away is a Benjamin Davis over 45. There's also an Abraham Davis 26-45 in Saltlick Have you looked for Pattons in the 1800 census of Saltlick and then for any Davises there, too? Best regards, Jane
