Thomas N. CARLETON, 69, of 100 Florence Drive, New Stanton, died Wednesday in Frick Community Health Center, Mount Pleasant. He was born Dec. 29, 1917 in Bridgeport, a son of the late Thomas F. and Mary Mitchell Carleton. Prior to his retirement, he was employed by DME Corp. in Youngwood. He was a veteran of World War II, having served with the US Marine Corps. in the Pacific Theater of Operations. He was a member of the National Wild Turkey Federation, the National Rifle Association, Mount Pleasant VFW, Mount Pleasant American Legion, Hecla Sportsmen's Cub, Bridgeport Sportsmen's Club, and the Police Falcons of Mount Pleasant. Surviving are his wife, Anna Mae Wolfe Carleton; two sons, Larry A. of Greensburg and Edward N. "Duke" Carleton of Connellsville; five grandchildren; a brother, Paul Carleton of Accident, Md.; three sisters, Anna Sutton of Weirton, W.Va., and Jessie "Tibby" Gowton and Angeline Gowton, both of Mount Pleasant, R.D. 4, and several nieces and nephews.
