Ralph UMBEL- Age 81 years, of Unlontown, Pa., died Tuesday, July 7, 1987. He was born in Markleysburg, Pa., May 30, 1906, the son of the late W.K. and Ada RUSH UMBEL, Sr. He was a businessman, having retired from the advertising business, and was a member of the Union Church of Markleysburg. He is survived by his wife, Alice SHOW Umbel at home; two sons, Ralph Eugene UMBEL, of Bitner, Pa., and William Jackson UMBEL, of Los Alamitos, Cal..; a daughter, Mrs. Harold (Patricia Anne) Harper, of Uniontown; 12 grandchildren; 13 great- grandchildren; a brother, William K. UMBEL, II, of Markleysburg; three sisters, Mrs. Katherine Lewis, of Lower Burrell, Pa., Mrs. Virginia U. Johnson, of Uniontown and Mrs. Rita Staub, of Pleasant Hills, Pa. The family will receive friends in the Andrew D. Ferguson Funeral Home, 80 Morgantown St., today from 7 to 9 p.m., Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday until 11 am., where a short prayer service will be held with Dr. John K. Sharp officiating; and from 12:30 until 1:30 p.m., the hour of service in the Union Church of Markleysburg with Rev. Tom Crogan officiating. Interment will be in Thomas Cemetery, Markleysburg, Pa.
