Louis M. ORAWIEC, 72, of Whitestone, N.Y., died Dec. 24, 2003. He was born in Herbert, Pa. He was a veteran of the Korean War and served in the Army. He was also a retired engineer of the New York City Department of Environmental Protection Agency. Surviving are his beloved wife, Virginia and beloved daughter, Lisa Scialpi and husband, Martin. He was also the adored "Poppy" of three grandchildren, Michael, Marissa and Christina. Also surviving were his brothers, Joseph and wife, Ella and Stanley and wife, Rosella; and a sister, Agnes. Preceding him in death were his parents, John and Pauline; brothers John, Edward, Walter and Frank; and a sister, Mary Velevich. A Mass of Christian burial was held at St. Lukes Roman Catholic Church, Whitestone, N.Y. Interment followed at St. Charles Cemetery, Farmingdale, N.Y. Unrelated to me. Just sharing a resource.
