Bernice V. Scott BOYD, 75, of Lemont Furnace died Sunday, Dec. 1, 1996, in Uniontown Hospital. She was born Sept. 25, 1921, in Lemont Furnace, Pa., daughter of Robert N. and Lucy V. Hawk Scott. Her parents, her husband, Frederick E. Boyd, and sisters, Betty Lou Brooks, Alda Martin, and Gladys Pollak, preceded her in death. She is survived by a brother, Charles Robert Scott of Lemont Furnace and a sister, Dolores Y. Schierschmidt of Allen Park, Mich. Friends will be received in the JEROME W. SHELL FUNERAL HOME, 164 South Mount Vernon Ave., Uniontown, Pa., today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday, Dec. 4, until 11 a.m., the hour of service with the Rev. William Shaw officiating.
