    3. List Members Found and recorded this cemetery, last month, when we had the warm weather. This cemetery is in VERY bad shape, setting in a pasture field. Most stones, except small natural stones, have been knocked over. The first name on one stone is VERY hard to read, I have given what I can read. I have a picture of stone, if someone thinks to decipher it. Ken QUAKER CEMETERY------------- FRANKLIN TWP. Located on Rowes Run Road. To find Travel to Smock, Take Smock road 1 2/10 miles from the Honor Roll, to Rowels Run Road. Go 1 1/10 mile to top of hill, 1/4 mile past Center Gas Rd. Cemetery on Left, next to road. I was told by local residents that cemetery was known as Quaker Cemetery, and that many stones were stolen over the years, and there were many more stones years ago. There are many unmarked field stones, and some with only initials chiseled on them. Apparently are many unmarked graves. Cemetery is a pasture field. The Samuel Sharpless stone is a four sided, modern Granite stone, and is not of time period of the deaths of Samuel and his family. All inscribed stones have been knocked off their bases, and lying on ground. Recorded December, 2003 MYERS ?? Margaret 4-25-1865 age 7 yr. 3. John Thanks, for the additional information. There is no sign of a church there now, and 3 people living nearby, including the landowner's wife, that I talked to, refereed to it as a Quaker Cemetery. Can only report what I'm told, and what I find. It is apparent that they were right about stones being taken from cemetery. Most of stones recorded by Della are NOT there now. I was told, about 10 to 15 years ago, (before I was interested in cemeteries,) that there were headstones standing alongside of a garage in Smock, by a fellow worker that lives in Smock. Very possibly they were from this cemetery. It is good that at least Della recorded them before they were taken, to who knows where. I have pictures of stones and of cemetery, if anyone wants to see for themselves. I have been taking pictures of cemeteries I record & ones I get GPS location for. 3. Hi John, I believe this cemetery is in the village of Merrittstown, Luzerne Township, Fayette County, Penna. The one Ken refers to is near Rowes Run. I read in Jordan that it is the old Quaker Meeting place in Redstone.
