Ronald L. Riter Sr., 52, of Southwest, died Saturday, Jan. 17, 2004, in Frick Hospital, Mount Pleasant. He was born May 21, 1951, in Connellsville, the son of Ralph L. Riter, of Pennsville, and the late Laura Frances (Ellenberger) Riter. He was Protestant by faith. He was a security guard for Whiting Protection Agency at the Sony Warehouse in New Stanton. Previously, he was employed by the Bradish Glass Co. of Greensburg, and also worked for his father at Riter's Auto Body Shop in Pennsville. Ron was a lifetime member of the Hecla Sportsmen's Club and the Pennsylvania Gun Collectors Association. His passions were collecting cars and buying and selling at various flea markets. He was the loving husband of 28 years to Patricia A. (Wilson) Riter; the loving father to three children, Dena M. Chiappino of Southwest, Ronald L. Riter Jr. at home, and Nicole Riter of Southwest; and the loving grandfather to Aaron W. Lydick, who was his pride and joy. Friends will be received at the ! JAY A.
