Ray WILKINS, Jr., age 66, passed away in his Wilmington, North Carolina, home on Wednesday, January 14, 2004. He was born in Haydentown, Fayette County, Pa., July 24, 1937 to Ray M. WILKINS and Dorothy HUGH Wilkins. Ray graduated in 1954 from the former Georges Township High School in Fayette County, Pa., and graduated in 1963 with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from West Virginia University, Morgantown, West Virginia, where he was a member of Phi Beta Kappa Fraternity. He retired in 1991 from Ethyl Corporation in Richmond, Virginia, where he served as Senior Vice President, Board Member, and President of the Chemicals Group. Ray had resided in Wilmington since October 1997. His parents are deceased. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Janet S. SKAGENBERG Wilkins; Children: Dr. Jeffrey C. WILKINS and wife Andrea, of Murrell Inlet, South Carolina, and Lisa W. WILKINS Bullard and husband Merrill Bullard, of Wilmington, North Carolina; Grandchildren: Mallory Carpenter and Trent Carpenter, of Wilmington, North Carolina, and Drew Wilkins, of Murrels Inlet, South Carolina; Step Grandchild: Willow Lewis, of Bolivia, North Carolina; his Father-in-Law and Mother-in-Law: Charles and Gertrude Skagenberg, of Holiday, Florida; Cousins: Brenda Augustine Pinter and husband Joseph, of Willowick, Ohio, Betty L. Blystone and husband Glenn, of Lake Lynn, Pa., William Epley, of Whitehouse (Smithfield), Pa., and Emily Lincoln and husband Arley, of Smithfield, Pa.; one Brother-in-law; Sisters-in-law; Nieces; Nephews; and a lifelong Friend, Dan Hugh, of Knoxville, Tennessee. Memorial Service will be private.
