Herschel D. "Porky" WALTERS, 63, of Smithfield, R.D.2 died in J.C. Blair Memorial Hospital, Huntington. He was born Oct. 14, 1930, in Bowood, Fayette County, son of the late Cleveland Walters and Evelyn Minor Walters. He was a graduate of Masontown High School in 1948, a retired employee from B&O Railroad, served with the 82nd Airborne in the U.S. Army, and a member of the VFW, American Legion and Fraternal order of Eagles. He is survived by his wife, Mary Webb Walters; children, Charles P. Walters of Savannah, GA., Michael D. Walters of Smithfield, Ronald D. Walters of Columbus, Ohio, Naoma Boyd of Uniontown, Cleveland S. Walters of Smithfield, Rebecca Fitzgerald of New Hampshire, and Heather Schultz of Connellsville, brothers and sisters, James Lowery, William Walters, Ginger Moats and Robert Walters, all of Smithfield; and 18 grandchildren. Friends will be received in the JOHN S. MAYKUTH JR. FUNERAL HOME, Church at River Avenue, Masontown, today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Monday until 10 a.m. the hour of service, with the Rev.
