I have found a number of relatives using these obit, of which I am very happy to receive. I save all obits in a Word file that can be searched using word search. I have found numerous persons by using this means. The name that appears in the heading does not tell the whole story. It is the brothers, sisters, children and their spouses names which give me the most info to connect everyone together. Obits give us the family of a great aunt and uncle, which otherwise we would never know about. As our data bases get larger, it is harder to remember all the names we are looking for, using this method I can find a family, such as; Th Obit of John Jones, his wife is listed with her maiden name, this is the only reference I have for her.
