Edward L. SHAWLEY, 77, of Mill Run, R.D. 1, died Friday at his home. He was born Jan. 6, 1910 at Springfield Township, a son of the late Walter M. and Koziah Miller Shawley. He lived in the Mill Run area all his life, and was a retired U.S. Postal Service worker, employed as a rural mail carrier in the Connellsville, Scottdale, Saltlick Township, Springfield Township and Ohiopyle areas. He was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose No. 16 (?) of Connellsville, Mill Run Grange and attended Indian Creek Baptist Church of Mill Run. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Clyde (Loretta) Shipley of Somerset, R.D. 1, and Mrs. Shirley Hillard of Pittsburgh; two sons, Edward W. Shawley of the Virgin Islands and James E. Shawley of Mill Run; 15 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Helen Rumanchik of Mather and Mrs. Rosemary Basinger of New Castle. He was predeceased by a sister, Viola Rumanchik and a brother Virgil "Bud" Shawley. (Normalville - 1/30/1987) Not related to me. Just sharing a resource. Carole Clarke
