Dorothy Jean BURNSWORTH Smalley, L.P.N., 74, of Hopwood, Pa., went to be with her Lord Jesus on Saturday, January 17, 2004 from Brownsville General Hospital, Brownsville, Pa. She was born June 7, 1929 in Ohiopyle, Pa., daughter of Branson and Dorothy Lee BURNSWORTH. Dorothy attended Fairchance Church of Worship where she was the church Pianist. She was a retired Licensed Practical Nurse from Elyria Memorial Hospital, Elyria, Ohio, with 21 years of service. After her retirement she was employed at Laurel Ridge Nursing Center in Uniontown, Pa. She was predeceased by an infant granddaughter, Heather, a grandson, George, and parents. Surviving are three children: Loretta Garland and husband, Kenneth, of Commerce, Georgia, Christine Garcia and husband, Michael, of Coventry, Connecticut, and Randy SMALLEY and wife, Debbie, of New Salem, Pa.; eight Grandchildren: Matthew, Michael B., Steven, Zanna, Debbie, Michael A., Danielle and Jason; four Great Grandchildren; and one sister, Roberta Browning, of Connellsville, Pa. Friends will be received in the DONALD R. CRAWFORD FUNERAL HOME, Hopwood, Pa., today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday, January 20, until 11 a.m., the hour of the Service with Pastor Shirley Victor officiating.
