He was born may 15, 1917 in Oceola, WI, a son of the late CHARLES and GRACE LEISCH. He was a member of the Mt. Hope Presbyterian Church of Penn Hills. Survivors include his wife, MRS. MARION SPEER LIESCH, a daughter, MRS. MARIAN YODER, a son, GRANT H. LIESCH, JR.; a stepson, ROBERT S. TEMPLE; a sister, MRS. NORMA McMILLAN and a brother, HAROLD. Burial in Union United Presbyterian Cemetery, Robinson Twp. under the direction of the John B. Greenlee Funeral Home, Beallsville, PA. BUSH, SAMUEL, 76, 501 Pearl St. Brownsville, retired owner of the former Bush Auto Supply, Brownsville died June 15, 1976, in Presbyterian University Hospital, Pittsburgh. He was a former resident of Masontown. He is survived by his wife, MRS. SARAH GRADITOR BUSH, two brothers, BENJAMMIN BUSH and DR. HERMAN BUSH. Burial in Holy Society Cemetery, Hopwood under the direction of the J. Harry Johnston Funeral Home, Uniontown. Thirty years ago, JUNE 14, 1946, EDWARD ANDREW SUTTON, 36, died today at the home of his parents, MR. and MRS. RAY SUTTON, Grays Lane, Brownsville. He was a member of a family long associated with scholoastic sports and was prominent as a basketball player for the old South Brownsville High School. June 15, 1976, The delivery of a first of new class of towboat designed, engineered, and manufactured at the Hillman Barge and Construction Co. of Brownsville was made recently. The first was purchased by EXXON and will operate out of Louisville, KY. HARRY MAPLES, Area Chief of the Monongahela River, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers was honored at a retirement dinner on May 18. BINNS, EDWIN, 74, 226 Union St. Brownsville, died June 16, 1976 at his home. He was the former owner of the Snowden Place Pennzoil Station, Brownville. He was born Aug. 26, 1901, in Fredericktown, the son of the late J.Y. and SOPHIE HILL BINNS. Survivors include his wife, DR. VERONICA BINNS, two sisters, MISS EVELYN BINNS and MRS. ELEANOR TAYLOR, two nephews and a niece. He was preceded in death by a sister, MISS MARY C. BINNS. There will be no viewing and interment will be conducted at the convenience of the family under the direction of the Homer L. Crawford Funeral Home, Brownsville. JILL LA RUE CRATTY, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. HERMAN CRATTY, Headlee Heights, Garards Fort, become the bride of JOHN DAVID PEKAR, son of MR. and Mrs. JOHN J. She was born Jan. 26, 1893 in McKees Rocks, the daughter of the late GEORGE and ELIZABETH LUEHM STATHAM. She was a member of the South Brownsville Methodist Church and a member of the Order of Eastern Star, Chapter No. 211, California. Her husband, HARRY M. SUTTON died Oct. 29, 1965. Survivors include, MRS. GLADYS NEILSEN, a very close friend, and three cousins, SAMUEL M. LUEHM , WILLIAM LUEHM and MRS. HEDY HOLT WATSON. LEORA HOUGH, 77, of 3 Steele St. Brownsville, died June 30, 1976 in Brownsville General Hospital. She was born April 4, 1899 in Jacobs Creek, a daughter of the late L.R. and GRACE MHERLING HOUGH. She was a former clerk for the Monongahela Railway Co. and a member of the First Methodist Church and the Church Choir and also a former Sunday School teacher. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of A. Kramer Axton Post 295, American Legion, Brownsville. Survivors include her husband, ACLE (ACE) W. HICKS, three daughters, MRS. MIRIAM E. BRACCO, MRS. LOREE M. McGUANE, MRS. LEAH G. YOST; two sons, RODGER H. HICKS and ERIC C. HICKS; a sister, MRS. GENEVIEVE McCLAIN MILLER and a brother, CARL H. HOUGH. Burial in Redstone Cemetery, Brownsville, under the direction of the Homer L. Crawford Funeral Home, Brownsville. July 2, 1976, there is a full page history of St. Peter's R.C. Church in Brownsville on the occasion of the 222nd anniversary of the First Mass offered in Brownsville on Sunday, July 4 at 12 noon. (Anyone wishing it, please email me privately. This will have to be done in sections, there are pictures of the original baptismal font, the entrance to the Confessional, the window describing the First Mass and a picture of the church and churchyard.)
