In 1920, he is in Dunbar, age 64 with sons William, age 28 and Andrew age 21, Elmer is a widower and his sons are single. Elmer is listed as "housekeeper", william works in the coal mines and Andrew is a fireman for the railroad. (looks like PRR). I did not find him in the 1930 census.
