Anna Pleva, 85, of Vanderbilt, Pa., died Monday, Jan. 12, 2004, at 2:20 a.m., in Potomac Valley Nursing Home, Rockville, Md. She was born April 11, 1918, in Czechoslovakia, daughter of the late Stephen and Mary PAGUR SINAL. Anna was a member of St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, Perryopolis, Pa. Surviving are the following children, Raymond PLEVA and wife, Donna, of Perryopolis, Walter PLEVA and wife, Lin, of Burton, Ohio, Mrs. David (Barbara) Rummel, of Manchester, Conn., David PLEVA and wife, Carol, of Burton, Ohio, Mrs. Dennis (Patricia) Sams, of Germantown, Md., and Mrs. Paul (Beverly) Kohlhoff, of Gaithersburg, Md.; 17 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Helen Hossa, of Ohio; and two brothers, Joseph SINAL and wife, Jeneanne and George SINAL and wife, Helen, both of Virgin Run, Pa. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Walter B. PLEVA; and one sister, Magdeline Bartko. Friends will be received in the BLAIR-LOWTHER FUNERAL HOME INC., 106 East Independence St., Perryopolis, Pa., today from 3 to 9 p.m., where a prayer service will be held on Thursday at 9:30 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m., in St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, Perryopolis, with the Rev. Fr. John T. Euker as celebrant. Interment will be in St. Johns Cemetery.
