Victoria... Point taken about "being clogged" with the AOL/Rootsweb business. Remember, though, that this was something that affected a pretty good size portion of your fellow list-mates, whose postings I'm sure you've profited from now and then. In any event, as I've done with various obits, etc., posted on this list, I use the delete key. Yes, it can get a little tiresome, I know. But, there's not a lot of posting on the Fayette list that I keep...I delete a good many postings weekly, if not daily. It's part of the territory. I'd like to think that if the problem were with Hotmail, MSN, Earthlink, or whatever, that I'd be patient until things ran their course for those folks. As this is an email mailing list with subscribers, when a large portion of these subscribers are having a shared problem receiving their subscriptions, it is indeed a problem for the whole list, if only temporarily. It was due to the action of the various Rootsweb list administrators who contacted the AOL Postmaster that the problem was resolved. The teapot tempest has subsided. Lets cool our jets, enjoy each others genealogical postings, and hope that anti-spam technology can continue to be fine tuned enough to avoid what we've been through. Be assured that AOL users didn't enjoy firing off flares to see just how pervasive the problem was. I know this one didn't. David in Richmond
