Verna MOWRY, past grange master Verna M. MOWRY, 76, of Mount Pleasant died Wednesday, Jan. 5, 1994, at Frick Hospital and Community Health Center, Mount Pleasant. She was born March 17, 1917, at Mill Run, a daughter of the late, Jacob and Etta Hawk Stull. She was a resident of Wooddale since 1942 and resided in Mount Pleasant since 1983. She was a graduate of the former Ohiopyle High School and was retired from Morris' Clothing Store, Laurel Mall. She was a member of Order of Eastern Star 383 of Scottdale and United Methodist Women's Society. She was a member of several organizations, including Highlands Hospital Auxiliary, Mount Pleasant and Bullskin Township Senior Citizens, Pennsylvania State and National Grange, National Wildlife Federation, National Audubon Society of Western Pennsylvania, Western Pennsylvania Conservancy, National Association of Mature People and American Association of Retired People. She was a member and Past Master of Pleasant Valley Grange. She was also active in many other community and civic activities, including American Red Cross and American Cancer Society. Surviving are a brother, Noble Stull of Frederick, Md.; and two sisters, Alverta Ream and Alma Stull, both of Mill Run. She was predeceased by two brothers, Arnold and Lee Stull. MOWRY - Verna M.
