Demetrius (Metro) ORAVETZ, 77, of Braddock Street, Mount Pleasant, died today in Frick Community Health Center. He was born Oct. 19, 1911, in Mount Pleasant Township, son the late Michael and Mary Keshock Oravetz. He was a member of Visitation RC Church of Mount Pleasant, the Holy Name Society, and Mount Pleasant Senior Citizens. He was a member of United Steel Workers of America Local Union 2227. Prior to his retirement, he was employed for 31 years by USX Irvin Works at Dravonsburg. Prior to that, he was employed for 16 years by the former Bryce Brothers Glass Factory of Mount Pleasant. Surviving are a son, Robert P. Oravetz of McMurray, Pa.; a daughter, Mrs. David (Anna Mary) Brackenridge of Baton Rouge, Pa.; two granddaughters; a brother, Matthew Oravetz of Mount Pleasant, and a sister, Mrs. Mary Shander of Greensburg. He was predeceased by his wife, Agnes Puhula Oravetz, in 1978, and a brother, Steve, in 1972. (3/3/? - Visitation) Not related to me. Just sharing a resource. Carole Clarke
