    3. Hi Jane & Ken, Now you've got me in on this for better or for worse. I went down & got the Fischer Book. Please keep in mind that Della never said these were complete listings. She gathered some by doing them herself & some were given to her over the years by others in order to type up & print. Her primary interest was not in Fayette County cemeteries. At some point I will have all these listed on our Elizabeth Twp. His. Soc. website but not for a while. I do plan to expand that site next year to include a lot more information. I'm going to take up 2 cemeteries here because of the remarks in the discussion. First we have what she called "Redstone Regular Baptist It only consists of 2 pages & is supposed to be in Redstone Twp. The following most likely is what came from Ellis. Redstone Baptist Church built in 1846 but meetings were held before that date. Members attended the Brownsville Church prior to this, Wm. Sharpless, Wm. Calvin, and Elias Hutchinson served as building committee, but Wm. Sharpless was chiefly responsible through his individual efforts and means. The church secured it for their use after it stood vacant for a number of years. Surnames mentioned are: Allton, Barns, Bee, Britt, Cadd, Cannon, Carlile, Cochburn, Colley, Colvin, Craft, Foster, Foulke, Gray, Hess, Higbee, Hughland, Hutchinson, Lancaster, Leonard, Lynn, Mason, Nines, McKee, Philip, Phillips, Rush, Seese, Sharpless, Shriver, Wagoner, Wells. Now, Jane states the following: Some of the folks listed by Y & Y as having stones in this "Reg. Redstone" are: Dorcas Sharpless d. 1862 age 2 dau. J & M., David W Colvin d. 9/11/1845 age 7 Mary Ann Britt D. 6/4/1852 w/o John age 53 In Della's list I find all three listed. However, I also find: Sharpless, William d 11-22-1881 ag 84-9-17 Mary w/o Wm. b. 1-3-1802 d 3-13-1871 Now let's take up Smock Old Baptist Church Cemetery that she has listed as being in Jefferson Twp., Located at Smock, PA Surnames mentioned are: Abraham, Allen, Arison, Arthur, Blemey, Boden, Bowley, Bowman, Brown, Brownfield, Campbell, Carlson, Collett, Conell, Cooke, Cope, Cowell, Crabel, Crozier, Downs, Dunn, Fitz, Frales, Frasher, Frazier, Frey, Hagerty, Hazen, Hess, Hill, Jobes, Johnston, Jordan, Manford, Martin, McCloy, McCoy, McVey, Merkel, Nickel, Morris, Moxley, Oldham, Oring, Orins, Patterson, Phillips, Piersol, Poole, Richmond, Rittenhouse, Rossel, Shank, Stephens, Stor, Storer, Swain, Todd, Wells, Wetsel, Wetzel, Whetsell, Whitsell, Wilson, Winnett, Wintermath, Wintermutt.
