Willie REID Calloway, 88, of Continental No. 2, Pa., passed away peacefully Thursday evening, Jan. 22, 2004, at Harmon House Care Center, Mount Pleasant, Pa. She was born June 19, 1915, in Alabama, daughter of the late Hudson and Rosie JOHNSON REID. Willie was a member of John Wesley A.M.E. Zion Church of Uniontown, Pa., for over 30 years, where she served with the Usher Board, Missionary Society, was church Secretary, Sunday School Superintendent and teacher. She recently moved her membership to Interfaith Assembly for Christ Church, Uniontown, Pa. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert CALLOWAY; one sister, Ida Goldsmith; one brother, Thomas REID; and her stepfather, Troy Ward. Surviving are three daughters, Bernice Robinson, of Brooklyn, N.Y., Sharon CALLOWAY, of Sunrise, Fla., and Terry CALLOWAY, of Connellsville, Pa.; two sons, Robert, of Uniontown, Pa., and Jeffrey and wife, Marilyn, of Footedale, Pa.; two grandsons, Errick and fiancee, Ann Dunlap, of Woodstock, Ga., and Jeremiah. of Footedale, Pa.; one sister, Ruth Peters, of Rock Island, Ill.; four sisters-in-law, Mary Reid, of Skeleton, W.Va., Bessie DeShields, of Uniontown, Pa., Lillie Belle Brown, of Brooklyn, N.Y., and Mabel Calloway of Pittsburgh, Pa.; and nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Friends will be received in the MURIEL E. LANTZ FUNERAL HOME, 297 East Main St., Uniontown, Pa., on Tuesday, Jan. 27, 2004, from 5 to 9 p.m., w here services will be held on Wednesday at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Howard E. Dantzler officiating.
