To Joan Peake: Let me say first of all, that I'm not acquainted with your family. My question to you though is, exactly what information are you looking for? If your answer is "everything not listed in the obit", then my first act would be to find a good library with the 1920, 1930 census and the 1910 census by using the miracode index. Via microfilm or if the library has a subscription to Ancestry.com. Most larger libraries have both. Find your family, study the census facts about them, and begin to read between the lines for hints of where to look for more hard data. These steps will lead you to names of children, whether her husband remarried, what the mothers first name was, whether they were born here or elsewhere, how long they were married, their address, and who their neighbors were, are they still living in the same neighborhood (both the neighbors, and YOUR family), did they emigrate here, when, where they worked, and many etc's.
