Josiah Brown the son of Richard Brown and Sarah Gans was living next door to his father in the 1850 census in Montrose, Lee Co., Iowa. Josiah Brown was married to Annastasia Martin married before 1850, Their children Charlie Ann Brown b. abt 1851 Joseph G. Brown b. abt. 1853 They moved from Montrose Lee Co. Iowa sometime before 1960 to the Sonoma area they were listed in the 1860 & 1870 census and they seemed to disappear. I am still looking for their death date or when the children married. I hope someone will know more on this family. We have also located them in Tombstone Village, Pima Co., Arizona in the 1880 census. with Son Joseph living with a fmily by the name of Alonzo Smith. It states that he is married meaing that his wife must still be alive somewheres. I would like to find out more about this family. Thanks Larinda
