MCCAIN (1813 PA-1901 Clarinda, Page, Iowa, supposedly the dau. of James MCCAIN ?). Did Jacob Richard BURLEY marry Margaret McCAIN in Fayette Co., PA? I believe that my Jacob BURLEY md about 1832 to Margaret MCCAIN? Does anyone have any information on who the parents were of both my Jacob BURLEY and his wife Margaret MCAIN? Samuel was born 1782 in Pennsylvania and I am seeking any information of him and his children in Fayette Co., PA. I have a lot of information on Elizabeth HAYDEN'S parents John HAYDEN and Charity GARD, but nothing on Samuel BURLEY/BURLEIGH's parents and family. In 1830 Samuel & Elizabeth were in Fayette Co., PA and then by the following records 1835 they were in Monroe Co., Iowa. 1830 George Twp,Fayette Co., PA Census p. 140 Samuel BURLEY 1 male 5-10, 1 male 15-20, 1 male 40-50 with 1 female under 5, 2 females 5-10, 1 female 10-15, 1 female 40-50. Page 139 is son Stephen BURLEY age 15-20 living alone. 2 Mar 1835 Monroe Co, Ohio Deed Vol. E, pg. 301, Indenture,Jesse & Alice Headley of Malaga, Monroe Co., Oh for sum of $110 sold 40a and 70/100 more or less to Samuel BURLEY in the Malaga township.____ and delivered Hannnah Burley and Thos. A. Bunting. Written 25 Aug 1849/rec. 10 Nov 1849 Monroe Co, OH Deed Vol. 10,pg. 126, Samuel and Elizabeth BURLEY of the Co. of Monroe, Ohio for sum of $525 paid by Nicholas Clause for 40a. Signed. Written 30 Aug 1849/recorded 20 Apr 1852 Monroe Co, Ohio Deed Vol. 12, pg. 268, David P. & Lydia TRAUX for $50 for a quit claim unto Samuel Burley a town lot in Malaga. 1850 Malaga, Monroe Co, OH Census has Samuel 68 yrs. old b. in Pennsylvania (he was blind) wife Elizabeth Hayden was 63, b. PA. (This is the last I found on Samuel & Elizabeth--I could not find their graves.) Samuel & Elizabeth BURLEY/BURLEIGH had at least 11 children: 1 & 2 are a male and female b. before 1810 in Fayette Co.,PA; (3) my Jacob Richard BURLEY; (4) Simon Clark BURLEY b. 1812 PA-murdered bef 1850 in Monroe Co., IA md Sidney JOHN; (5) Margaret BURLEY (1813 PA-1901 ? md ?); (6) Stephen BURLEY (1814 PA-1863 Civil War, md 1835 Margaret FERGUSON); (7) Hannah BURLEY (b.1817 PA-?, md Demas SLUSHER; (8) Sallie BURLEY (1818 PA-d.?, md Otho BARNES); (9)Nancy BURLEY (1821/2 PA-d.?, md Ezra M. SMITH); (10)Rachel BURLEY (b.1822 Monroe Co., OH ? or PA-d.?, md Isaac OSBORN); and (11) Mary BURLEY (b.1825 PA-d.aft 1880 probably in Lucas Co., Iowa, md Armstrong JOHN, in 1850 Monroe Co., Iowa Census). Does anyone have access to any BURLEY records which can help me find out more about Samuel & Elizabeth and their children? Any help would be appreciated, April
