Russell ZAPPONE, 83, of Crucible, Pa., died Sunday, Feb. 1, 2004, in The Washington Hospital, Washington, Pa. Mr. Zappone was a retired coal miner from Crucible Mine, and Marianna Mine NO. 58. On Dec. 27, 1990, he married Olga Stasko, who survives. Also surviving are three daughters, Toni Grice, of Hillsville, Sandy McCaslin and Virginia Marchetti, both of Coraopolis, Pa.; 13 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Stella Dikun, of Dry Tavern, Pa., and Margaret Ferea, of Fredericktown, Pa. Friends will be received in the Behm Funeral Homes Inc., 1477 Jefferson Rd., Jefferson, Pa., on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., where services will be held at 11 a.m., on Thursday, Feb. 5, 2004.
