John J. Giubileo, 72, of Clarksville, Pa., died Friday, Jan. 30, 2004, in the Greene County Memorial Hospital, Waynesburg. He was born June 9, 1931, in Revere, Fayette County, Pa., a son of the late Gaspare and Margaret Connell Giubileo. Mr. Giubileo was a 1949 graduate of Jefferson-Morgan High School, and a graduate of Penn Commercial. He retired as Post Commander of the Charles E. Kelly Support Facility in Oakdale, with 50 years of service. Mr. Giubileo was a member of St. Thomas Roman Catholic Church in Clarksville, the Knights of Columbus, and the Clarksville Volunteer Fire Company. Surviving are two sisters, Frances Szallay of Clarksville, and Barbara Giubileo of Fairfax, Va.; two nephews, Steve Szallay and John P. Giubileo; and a niece, Gina Miller. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, James P. Giubileo. Friends of John J. Giubileo of Clarksville, who died Friday, Jan. 30, 2004, will be received from 2 to 9 p.m., today and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., on Monday, in the BEHM FUNERAL HOMES INC., 1477 Jefferson Rd., Jefferson, Gregory P. Rohanna, Supervisor, where a blessing service will be held at 9:30 a.m., Tuesday, Feb. 3, 2004, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m., at St. Thomas R.C. Church, Clarksville, with the Rev. Alan E. Morris as celebrant. Interment in Greene County Memorial Park, Jefferson Road, Waynesburg.
