Martin (Martin) Barbic, 55, of California, Pa., died unexpectedly Friday, Jan. 30, 2004. He was born Jan. 16, 1949, in California, Pa., a son of the late Frank and Felicia (Tomaceski) Barbic. He was a member of Young's Men's Club, California Hill Gun Club, Italo American Citizens Club of California, American Legion JFK Post 377, and the Polish Club of California. A member of St. Thomas Aquinas Church in California, he was an Usher for many years. Marty loved to fish, hunt and golf. Marty was preceded in death by his parents. Left to cherish his memory are his sister, Barbara Barbic, with whom he shared his home; brother and sister-in-law, Francis and Rose Barbic of Cheswick, Pa.; two nieces, Cathy and husband, Dan Berard of Yardley, Pa., and Joanne Barbic of Cheswick, Pa.; and one great-niece, Megan Berard. Friends will be received in the MARISCOTTI FUNERAL HOME INC., Anthony N. Mariscotti, Supervisor, 323 Fourth St., California, Pa., this afternoon from 2 to 4 p.m. (no evening visitation), on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., and until 9:30 a.m., on Tuesday when a blessing service will be held, in the funeral home, followed by a 10 a.m., Mass of Christian burial in St. Thomas Aquinas Church, with the Rev.
