Word was received here of the death Monday, December 13, 1937, at Kingfisher, Okla., of Miss Dora Fullerton Eggleston, sister of Mrs. Esther Eggleston Brown, former staff member of the Fayette Publishing company, this city, and for a number of years a resident of Uniontown. Death was attributed to heart failure. Deceased was a daughter of Lafayette and Caroline Bois Eggleston. Born in Bloomingburg, O., March 8, 1877, she was a graduate of Bloomingburg high school and attended Wooster college, Wooster, O. After the death of her mother, Miss Eggleston served several years as housemother for Gamma Phi Lambda on the Ohio State university campus, Columbus, Ohio, having been made an honorary member of the sorority during her residence. In addition to her uncle, J. A. Eggleston, with whom she made her home, she was survived by two sisters, Mrs. Amy McConnell of Trio, Ohio, and Mrs. Esther Brown of Kingfisher; one brother, J. Erskine Eggleston of Marion, O. Funeral services were held Wednesday, December 15 in the Presbyterian church at Kingfisher, the Rev. S. H. Jones officiating. Burial was in the Kingfisher cemetery.
