George W. Watona, 55, of Burke, Va., formerly of Carmichaels, Pa., passed away Friday, Jan. 30, 2004, in the Inova Care Center, Fairfax, Va. He was born March 10, 1948, in Waynesburg, Pa., the son of Eustina Pecjak Watona of Carmichaels, Pa., and the late George Watona. He was a computer program specialist for the Internal Revenue Service, and he enjoyed making model cars, reading and listening to his music collection. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Carol Lynn Hentz-Watona; and one sister, Fran Watona of Pittsburgh, Pa. Friends will be received in the PAUL M. LESAKO FUNERAL HOME INC., Paul M. Lesako, Funeral Director, 204 Dowlin Ave. Carmichaels, Pa., on Friday, Feb. 6, 2004 from 7 to 9 p.m., and on Saturday, Feb. 7, 2004, from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m., the time of the service in the funeral home, with the Rev. Fr. Rumen Stoychev officiating. Interment will be in St. Mary's Russian Orthodox Cemetery, Masontown, Pa.
