Eleanor Snyder PHALIN, 77, of Uniontown passed away Saturday, April 2, 1994, in Uniontown Hospital. She was born Nov. 5, 1916, in Uniontown, Pa., daughter of the late Morris and Anna Woodfill Snyder. She was a graduate of Uniontown High School and Grove City College and taught for many years in Port Allegany schools. She and her late husband, Harry O. Phalin, resided in Lincoln, Ill, for many years. She is survived by two brothers, Charles E. Snyder, Sr. and James W. Snyder, one aunt, Mary E. Woodfill, nephews and nieces, Charles E. Snyder Jr., David S. Snyder, Robert E. Snyder, Marilyn S. Fitzsimmons, Robin Brumley, Robert T. Snyder, Charles E. Snyder II, James N. Fitzsimmons III, and Kathleen Fitzsimmons, all of Uniontown. The family will receive friends in the JAMES D. BARNETT FUNERAL HOME, 196 West Main St., Uniontown, on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 8:30 p.m., the hour of service, with Dr. John K. Sharp officiating. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery, Port Allegany, on Tuesday, April 5. The family requests in lieu of flowers that memorials be made to Uniontown Public Library Children's Section.
