Kathryn Genevieve KEARNS Jeffers, age 94, of Allison, Pa., completed her life's journey on Saturday, January 31, 2004 leaving behind a legacy of love, compassion, and joyful memories for the family and friends she left behind. Kathryn was born in Brier Hill, Pa., on March 11, 1909 the daughter of Williams KEARNS and Elizabeth KENNEDY Kearns. Kathryn was a member of Holy Rosary Church, Republic, Pa., and was employed by the Kroger Company for 30 years before retiring in 1972. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, John KEARNS, both of her sons, William R. JEFFERS and Arthur "Red" JEFFERS, and one grandson, William JEFFERS, Jr. She is survived by three daughters-in-law: Margaret Jeffers, of Allison with whom she resided until April, Kay Geisenger, of North Olmstead, Ohio, and Iva Jeffers, of Weirton, West Virginia; five grandchildren and nine great grandchildren: Ed Jeffers Jr. of Allison, Pa., Diane and Chris Burke and daughter Meghan of Zebulon, North Carolina, Karen and Joe Leighty and children Kelly and Josh of Waltersburg, Pa., Rob and Barb Geisenger and children Robbie, Anna and Billly of North Olmstead, Ohio, and B. J. Jeffers and daughters Katlin, Marcy and Miranda of Weirton, West Virginia. Friends will be received in the ROBERT T. KISH FUNERAL HOME INC., Legion Street, Republic, Pa., on Tuesday, February 3, from 11:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. when a Prayer Service will be held. A Funeral Mass follows at 1 p.m. in Holy Rosary Church, Republic, with Rev. Fr. Stephen Bugay as Celebrant. Interment will follow in LaFayette Memorial Park, Brier Hill, Pa.
