It might be an idea to keep posting the obits to the list, but do them in batches, much as Hannah does with her Scrapbook excerpts. If she itemized each clipping with a separate posting, it too would get cumbersome. She manages to put all surname mentions in the subject header for easy access. No one misses any data, and the mailbox volume is reduced. I for one would hate to miss something of use to me that I'd otherwise never see. I know there are many listers who value the obits, and posting them does take a lot of effort. My own mailbox capacity is pretty big, and deleting is certainly not a problem, but there are some listers whose boxes can only take but so much. Seems like a way that would please most folks. A lot of egos seem to be getting bruised on this list, and that's not the usual focus of Rootsweb mailing lists. The level of "flaming" is getting out of hand. David in Richmond
