Joseph S. WOJTANOWSKI, 80, of West Side, Connellsville, died Sunday in Frick Community Health Center, Mount Pleasant. He was born March 15, 1908, in Warsaw, Poland, son of the late Jan W. and Tekla Balinsky Wojtanowski. He was a brakeman for the B&O Railroad, retiring after 50 years of service. He was a member of the Holy Trinity RC Church, the Brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen, United Transportation Union, Polish National Alliance, St. Casimir Lodge, and the Connellsville Senior Citizens. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Surviving are three sons, Joseph R., with whom he resided, Edwin J. and Gene S., both of Mount Pleasant; nine grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Louise Lee and Mrs. Rose Smith, both of Connellsville, and Mrs. Virginia Kemezcy of Indiana. He was predeceased by his wife, Wanda Zielinski Wojtanowski; a son, Frank; a brother, Michael; and two sisters, Stella Maderish and Frances Carson. (11/27/1988 - Holy Trinity) Not related to me.
