I have found an envelope containing mainly obituaries. There is a possibility that some have been posted before from another scrapbook WESTCOAT, ETHEL K, 68, Jeannette R.D. #1, formerly of Brownsville and Masontown died April 4, 1969 at Jeannette District Memorial Hospital. She was born Oct. 31, 1900, in Everson, the daughter of DAVID B. and FLORENCE HANEY McCLAIN. She was a retired school teacher and was a member of the Pennsylvania State Education Association. Surviving is her husband, JAMES T. WESTCOAT, Jeannette Area Manager for the Columbia Gas Co., two sisters, MRS. PAULINE BLACKA and MRS. KATHLEEN KEIBLER. Burial in Twin Valley Cemetery under the direction of the Sherman Mason Funeral Home, Jeannette. ASA, WILLIAM "KI", 54, of 802 Green St., Brownsville, widely known Brownsville man, died suddenly at his home of a heart attack, and was declared dead upon arrival at Brownsville General Hospital, Feb. 6, 1958. He was born in West Brownsville, May 20, 1913, the son of JOSEPH and NABEEHA ELLIEN ASA. He was the sales mangager for Brownsville Rambler Sales and a member of St. Ellien's Syrian Orthodox Church. He leaves his wife, MRS. SOPHIA GRAFINGER ASA, a daughter, CAROL; two sisters, MRS. JESSIE HAMME and MISS JOSEPHINE ASA; two brothers, THOMAS and JAMES. Burial in Redstone Cemetery under the direction of the Homer Crawford Funeral Home. WHETZEL, ELVIN, 80, a former Brownsville resident and more recently from Farmington, died March 16, 1969 in Uniontown Hospital. He was a former assistant lock master at Lock No. 5 retiring after 30 years of service with the U.S. Government on river locks. He was a member of the Hopewell Presbyterian Church, the Hopewell Grange and a honorary member of the Brownsville W.C.T.U. Surviving are his wife, MRS. FANNIE NORMAN WHETZEL, and a brother, LEWIS WHETZEL. Burial in LaFayette Memorial Park, Brier Hill, under the direction of the William S. Kisinger Funeral Home. BEAL, MRS. VERA LOPP, 69, of 305 Catherine Ave., Brownsville, died April 28, 1969 in University Hospital Medical Center, Morgantown, WV after a lingering illness. She was the daughter of FRANK M. and AMELIA AMMONS LOPP, born August 6. 1899, at California and lived in Rices Landing before coming to Brownsville. She was the wife of HARRY BEAL, whom she married in 1923. She was graduated from California Normal School in 1919 and taught school in Brownsville, Rices Landing, Redstone Twp. and Grindstone. She was a member of the Central Presbyterian Church, where she taught Sunday School and was President of the Women's Association. She was a member of the Iron Bridge Chapter, Order of Eastern Star. In addition to her husband, she leaves a brother, WILLIAM W. LOPP, two nieces, MRS. CARL FOIELS and MRS. DAN HUNTLEY; a grandniece, LAURA ANN HUNTLEY and a grandnephew, ALLEN FOIES (I don't know which spelling is correct--the paper lists MRS. CARL as FOIELS and the grandnephew as FOIES). MRS. BEAL's mother died April 14, 1969, at the age of 101. TRUMAN, MRS. SARAH JANE, 74, of 508 Pearl St., Brownsville, died April 4, 1969 in Brownsville General Hospital. She was born March 27, 1895 in Fayette City, a daughter of ALEXANDER and JENNIE VAUGHN FINCH. She was a member of the Central Presbyterian Church and the Harmony Class. Surviving are her husband, ELDRIGE TRUMAN and a brother, ELMER H. DWYER. She was predeceased by two brothers, WILLIAM H. and LLEWELLYN DWYER. Burial in LaFayette Memorial Park under the direction of the Homer L. Crawford Funeral Home, Brownsville. BULGER, MRS. ELIZABETH H. (MRS. HOLMES W.) 77, of 60 South Hills Terrace, died April 22, 1969 in Brownsville General Hospital. She was born Oct. 5, 1891 in Brownsville, the daughter of GEORGE W. and NETTIE LEAMON HURST. She was a member of the South Brownsville United Methodist Church. Surviving are her husband, HOLMES W. BULGER, five sisters, MRS. JULIA HARDWICK, MRS. WILDA MANBECK, MRS. GEORGIA RETTSTATT, MRS. OLIVE WALLACE, and MRS. TEALE; and a brother, JAMES L. HURST. Burial in Bridgeport Cemetery under the direction of the Homer L. Crawford Funeral Home, Brownsville. BOWDEN, MRS. CORA, 72, of 533 Pearl St. Brownsville, died suddenly today in Brownsville General Hospital. She was born at Layton, Oct. 12, 1886, the daughter of OSCAR and MARGARET JANE LYNN FINLEY. She was a member of the Central Presbyterian Church and the Harmony Class; Order of the Eastern Star; Order of the White Shrine and the Auxiliary to the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers. MRS. BOWDEN leaves two daughters, MARY and MARGARET; two sons, ARCHIE A. and BLYTHE A. JR. and a brother, JAMES E. FINLEY. Her husband, BLYTHE A. BOWDEN, SR. died Jan. 6, 1948.
