Regina (Becker) Buchheit, 82, of Merrittstown, Pa., passed away Friday, Jan. 30, 2004, in the Uniontown Hospital. She was born Nov. 5, 1921, in Lower Tyrone Township, Pa., a daughter of the late John J. Becker and Elizabeth Lechner Becker. Regina was a member of the Church of the Madonna of Cardale, Pa., and a charter member of the Confraternity of Christian Mothers. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wesley James Buchheit, in 1983; sons, Kenneth, in 1997, and James Craig Buchheit, in infancy; two grandchildren, Jon C. Buchheit and Angela Mattis; sisters, Bernadine King, Genevieve Foster and Anna Forgach; and brothers, John Becker Jr., and William Becker. Surviving are sons, Edward Buchheit and wife, Geraldine of Thompson No. 1, Pa., David Buchheit and wife, Debra of Wickliffe, Ohio, John Buchheit and wife, Sandra of Merrittstown, and Joseph Buchheit and wife, Tammy of LaBelle, Pa.; a daughter-in-law, Janice Buchheit of Mayfield Heights, Ohio; 15 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; sisters, Madeline Lohr of Florida, Rosella Vanaman of Riverside, Calif., and Gertrude Vlosich of Allison, Pa.; and a brother, James Becker of Pulaski, Pa. Friends will be received in the ROBERT T. KISH FUNERAL HOME INC., Legion Street, Republic, Pa., today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., and Monday, until 10 a.m., when a Prayer Service will be held. A Funeral Mass follows at 10:30 a.m., in the Church of the Madonna, Cardale, with the Rev. Fr. Stephen Bugay as Celebrant. Interment will be in LaFayette Memorial Park, Brier Hill, Pa.
