David LeRoy KEENER, aged 84 years, one of the oldest and most highly respected citizens of German Township, passed quietly away at his lifelong home at 6:30 Saturday morning from infirmities due to old age. He was the son of David and Sabina Campbell Keener, who were of the pioneer settlers of that section of the county, having established residence there more than a century and a half ago. Mr. Keener was preceded in death by his wife several years ago. He is survived by the following children: Oscar, Lamberton; Minor, New Salem; Mrs. John Adams, Fairbanks, Alfred and Ada, at home. Funeral services will be conducted Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock and will be in charge of Rev. Manley. Burial will be in New Salem cemetery. Relatives and friends are requested to meet at the home Monday at which time it will be announced as to whether the services will be held at home or the church. (11/10/3?) Not related to me.
