This is the 2ooth anniversary of the National Road. Ohio will be participating in the yard sale which goes from Baltimore, MD, and ends in MO. Over 800 mile yard sale! Dates are May 31 thur June 4. The Ohio Historical Society is printing a book called "A Traveler's Guide to the Historic National Road" which also offers detailed information regarding past and present status of the National Road. A free publication, you can get by contacting the Ohio Historical Society at (614) 297-2300. I have nothing to do with the Ohio Historical Society. I often see fellow genealogist sending queries about the National Road and thought someone may want this information. Hope it helps someone and if you know your state is putting something like this out let me know so I could order it form them. I think it would be neat to have this informaton from each state.
