Showman Mrs. Maranda Bungard (not real sure on first name) 61 years and seven months, old, died this morning at 5 o'clock at her home at Snydertown. of complications of diseases. She was born October 3, 1856 in Saltlick township, a daughter of Jacob and Elizabeth Kearns Bungard. January 1 (or 7) 1876 she was married to Jeremiah W. Showman of Springfield township. To the union, 11 children were born, two of who died in infancy. In addition to her husband, she is survived by the following children; John Calvin Showman, Dunbar; Mrs. Laura ??????? at home; Mrs. Fred Vernon, West Leisenring; Mrs. James Hawkins, Poplar Grove; Mrs. John Wild; Henry James; William Harrison; Jerry Franklin, and Albert Showman; all of Connellsville. Thirty-eight grandchildren; one brother, Fred Bungard of Saltlick township, and one sister, Miss Margaret Bungard also survive. The funeral will be held Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock followed by interment in Hill Grove cemetery.
