Hello John, The Drusilla Downer who married John Snyder was the granddaughter of Jonathan Downer and Drusilla Springer. As I wrote this Drusilla is the daughter of Springer Jonathan Downer and his wife Eliza Wiggins. I am the archivist for the Dennis Springer family and am preparing the Springer family book. So am working to bring the lines down. If you have researched the Drusilla Downer who was married to Jonathan Rowland West I would be happy to do a data exchange. Go ahead and send a GEDCOM to me. It will be a while before I can check it though as I have about 8 people in line ahead of you. At 10:36 AM 1/17/2004 -0500, you wrote: >Unable to find list of patients in poor house in 1920 census. Could anyone >please point me in the right direction? Thank you. Wanda Hi, Wanda, It was in South Union. On Ancestry.com the listing for District 87 specifically states it contains the County Home. Found at the end of the listing. I went to page 76, the last page which begins with the "S" surnames. Page heading contains "Name of Institution: Fayette County Home." Regards, Jane
Have you tried contacting the cemetery? My grandparents are buried there, and I wrote them a letter. For burials after 1934, they have pretty good records. ----- Original Message ----- From: <Wataub@aol.com> To: <PAFAYETT-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Saturday, January 17, 2004 7:31 AM Subject: [PAFAY] Christopher family/Redstone cemetary > Looking for family of William {1885-1974}, Annie {1884-1967} Christopher and > son James N. {1910-1979} buried in Redstone cemetery in Brownsville. Dear Albert, Do you have any other information on Paul Peloquin? I checked the census records on ancestry.com and could not figure out if any of them were your father. Was he born in Canada? I could not find him in the census records for Fayette, but did not expect to since the most recent available is 1930. I also did not find a record for a Paul Peloquin in Brooklyn at any time. That doesn't mean he didn't live there, just that he was not there at the time of the census. Do you know when he was born or when he died? Wife's name? Children? Sometimes the strandest little things help. Researching my early Reed ancestors in Fayette County has not been an easy job. In the census of 1790, there are 3 Reed families listed, those of James Reed, Thomas Reed and William Reed. My ancestor was James Reed and research shows that two of his children were born in Fayette County-Sarah Reed in 1793 and Adonijah Reed in 1794. We think it is possible that James Reed's wife was Elizabeth Peacock, daughter of Adonijah Peacock, Burlington County, New Jersey. Is anyone else researching Reeds in Fayette County, and if you are, do any of these 3 Reed families fit into your family and do you have info on any of them? It isn't easy to sort out the Reeds, there are lots and lots of them-especially with the given name of James. Thanks, Doris Reed Forsyth
