Surviving are two sons, Wilbur and daughter-in-law, Dolores Black of Willoughby, Ohio and Armour and daughter-in-law, Sue Black of Phoenix, Ariz.; a daughter, Mrs. Robert (Vivian) Pochron of Dry Tavern; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a brother, Hughes Baer of Pittsburgh. Interment and services will be private. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to the United Methodist of Jefferson or the Jefferson Morgan Sr. Citizens Club. Also surviving are a brother, John Rutter, a sister, Mrs. Phyllis Rutter McFarland, a nephew, Daniel McFarland, and three nieces, Deborah, Andrus, Lori Roche, and Dawnette McFarland, all of Pinellas Park, Fla.     3. Inez Everly GREGOR, 84, of Uniontown died Saturday, Jan. 22, 1994, in Uniontown Hospital. She was born Nov. 24, 1909, in Morgantown, W.Va., daughter of the late Hal and Winona Provance Everly. Her husband, Steve Gregor, preceded her in death. She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Edward (Barbara) Shotyk of Piscataway, N.J., Zelma Hurley of Uniontown, and Mrs. Frank (Velma) Masi of Princeton, N.J.; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.     3. Eugene M. SCHMIDTKE, 71, of Third Street, Monarch, died Sunday at his residence. He was born Sept. 16, 1917, in Connellsville, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Julius Schmidtke. He was a retired employee of U.S. Steel Corp, Leisenring 3 Mine. He was a member of St. Vincent dePaul RC Church of Leisenring 1. He was a member of the 1950 Pensioners at U.S. Steel, Monarch Volunteer Fire Department, Blind Association, Pennsylvania National Guard, and Fayette County Firemen's Association. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Ronald (Frances Marie) Riggin of Chalk Hill and Mrs. K. Arden (Rebecca Ann) Renze of Monarch; four grandchildren; two sisters, Emma Schmidtke of Connellsville and Mrs. Claude (Mary) Ward of North Versailles.     3. George H. SIDEHAMER, 90, of Morewood St., Mount Pleasant, died today in Frick Community Health Center. He was born July 5, 1897 in Mount Pleasant, son of the late Albert and Marie Sidehamer. He was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church of Mount Pleasant, Lutheran Brotherhood, and church dartball league. He was also a member of United Mine Workers of America. Prior to his retirement, he was employed for 42 years as a coal miner by Frick Coal Company and U.S. Steel Corp. Surviving are his wife, Adelaide Moser Sidehamer, with whom he celebrated his 63rd wedding anniversary on Oct. 14; a son, Kenneth F. Sidehamer of North Huntingdon; two daughters, Mrs. Jack (Gayle) Howells of Scottdale, R.D. 1, and Mrs. Jake (Gwendowlyn) Hough of Scottdale; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren, and a brother, Charles Sidehamer of Pittsburgh. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by four brothers, James, Andrew, Albert and Frank, and six sisters, Betty Pfogner, Emily Rehanek, Josephine Beranek, Mary Sidehamer, Anna Hohider and Elizabeth Hostoffer. 10/29/1987 - Mount Pleasant Not related to me.     3. Daniel O'DONNELL, one of the best known residents of Lower Tyrone Township, died at his home Sunday night, September 19, 1937, following several months illness. Mr. O'Donnell was a life-long resident of the township and the house in which he died, he was born 61 years ago. Up until last January when illness set in he was employed by the Baltimore & Ohio Railroad. For 34 years he remained in that company's employ, first working as a clerk in Connellsville and later in Glenwood where he had been transferred. His only survivors are four brothers and two sisters all at home, Andrew, Charles, James, Maurice, Elizabeth and Ellen. Mr. O'Donnell was a devout member of Sacred Heart Church of Dawson and on Wednesday morning requiem mass was read by the pastor, Rev. Henry Connelly. Burial was made in the church cemetery. She was born April 23, 1920, in Uniontown, a daughter of the late George and Mary Duda Legutki. She was a member of the Slovak Club Ladies Auxiliary of Mount Pleasant and the Transfiguration Roman Catholic Church of Mount Pleasant. Surviving are two sons, Philip Paul Balcerek of Pittsburgh and Walter Balcerek of Mount Pleasant; two daughters, Mrs. Larry (Joan) Cramer of Ruffsdale and Mrs. Robert (Rita) Sechler of Connellsville; six grandchildren; one brother, Edward Legutki of Cleveland, Ohio; and two sisters, Josephine T. Kitta of Mount Pleasant and Mrs. Thomas (Kathryn) Krukvich of Michigan. She was predeceased by her husband, Felix F. Balcerek (1988); three brothers, Frank, Walter, and Clyde Legutki; and two sisters, Rose Kasiukiewicz and Jessie Legutki. BALCEREK - Helen Caroline Balcerek of Bessemer Road, Mount Pleasant, died Friday, April 15, 1994. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. today and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at GALONE-CARUSO's, 204 Eagle St., Mount Pleasant. A funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Monday in Transfiguration Roman Catholic Church, Mount Pleasant, with the Ref. Frank A. Lesniowski as celebrant. He was Presbyterian by faith, retired manager of corporate services at Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corporation, and a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II and the Korean War. Surviving are his wife, Ann McDonaugh Knoyer; a son, Carl R. Knoyer and his wife, Roxanne, and a daughter, Caren Knoyer, all of Wheeling, W.Va; three brothers, Paul Knoyer, Earl Knoyer, and Ralph Knoyer all of Uniontown, Pa.; two sisters, Claire K. Flynn of Orlando, Fla., and Frances LoPresti of Cleveland, Ohio; and two grandchildren, Jennifer and Stephen Knoyer. Services were held Tuesday, Nov. 14. The official listing classifies the Polish dead as Austrian, Hungarians and Russians. Technically speaking, this three-fold classification is correct, inasmuch as Poland at the time still was partitioned among those three powers. Sakel, and George M. Sakel all of Marianna; a brother, Jozef Sakel of Ardmore; two sisters, Helen Sakel Checca of New Rochelle, N.Y., and Mrs. Margaret Sakel Gurka; 13 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.     3. Hello to all, I am brand new to this list. I was a long time resident of SW Pa in Fayette County and move to the Ohio are in the early 50's. I searching information regarding my grandfather and grandmather, John Hrusovsky and Catherine (Katrina Mikusek). They lived in the Smithfield area in the late 30's. Catherine died in Smithfield in Dec 38 and shortly after John moved to Leckrone and did some custodial work for St Mary's Catholic Church in Leckrone. Ruth, dau. of Owen Davis, was born in 1769 and is mentioned in her father's will only with regard to her heirs, so she had died prior to January 12, 1803. You've mentioned that James Patton was from Saltlick Twp. There were Davises in Saltlick Twp. in the 1810 census, so perhaps Rachel is related to them. In 1810 I see both a James Patton 26-45 and a Mathew Patton over 45 in Saltlick Twp. And, not too far away is a Benjamin Davis over 45. There's also an Abraham Davis 26-45 in Saltlick Have you looked for Pattons in the 1800 census of Saltlick and then for any Davises there, too? Best regards, Jane
