My John Emerson b.1789, 21 yr.1810, Sarah Emmerson could have been Mother or Aunt ? , there were other Emerson's in area at that time, some had 2 mm or b in name so Everson could be of same group. After going thru so many spellings it someone wrote it for them because they could not. Do you have an openion on this. I expect to get some Flak on this but it is an openion. I'd really like to know. I have people ask me 1-m or 2-mm ?     3. There were Adamsky's in Masontown. Specifically Mike Adamsky. He died within the last few years. I know of one daughter who lives in Harrisburg. Don't know if there are any others in this area. I will see what I can find. Friends and former pupils of Miss Carrie Ross, aged 55, of Washington, Pa., will learn with sincere regret of her death which occurred Monday morning at the family home after a lingering illness. She taught for more than 25 years in the Masontown schools where she was known and loved by children and adults alike. She started her teaching career in Masontown and continued there until last February when she was forced to give up her school because of her failing health. She was a resident of Normalville most of her life. She was a member of Normalville United Methodist Church. Surviving are her husband, M. Glenn Meyers; a daughter, Mrs. Janet Eicher of Champion; three grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Anna Mae Wheeless and Mrs. Isla Griffin, both of Rocky Mount, N.C., and Mrs. Evelyn Dickens of Virginia Beach, Va. She was predeceased by a son, William R. (Bill) Meyers; four brothers, Henry, Marriot, Robert, Lynn and Jasper Martin Briggs, and a sister, Grace McCullers. He was born Nov. 26, 1906, in Bohemia, son of the late James and Barbara Cabot Sistek. Prior to his retirement, he was employed as a butcher. He served in the U.S. Navy. He was a member of the Moose, American Legion, and Veterans of Foreign Wars, Mount Pleasant. He is survived by his wife, Jean Smith Sistek; seven brothers, James of Ashtabula, Ohio, Andrew, Joseph, Charles and Edward, all of Mount Pleasant, William of Shreveport, La., and Richard Sistek of Hobbs, N.M., and two sisters, Rose Mohney of Mrs. Michael (Peggy) Sibal, both of Mount Pleasant. Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon with a short service at the home at 10 o'clock followed with additional rites in the St. Jacob's Lutheran Church near Leckrone. rev. Herman H. She was a resident of Connellsville until 1960 when she moved to Alburn, Wash., and has lived there since that time. She was a former waitress at the Star Restaurant in Connellsville and a former member of First Christian Church of Connellsville. Surviving are a son, Jerry Sanner of Alburn, Wash.; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She is the last surviving member of her immediate family. Mr. Smith was forced to his bed last Wednesday. His death was attributed to complications. He leaves his widow and three daughters. No arrangements have been made for the services. Not related to me. Born April 12, 1933, in Connellsville, a son of the late Herbert Francis and Anna Theresa McCormick, he retired after serving 24 years in the U.S. Navy, attaining the rank of lieutenant commander. He was a member of Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church in Luray, and Moose Lodge 1413. He was well-known as a bingo caller for the Moose Lodge and other charitable organizations in the community. Surviving are his wife, Marilyn Francis Helms, whom he married on Aug. 14, 1955; two sons, Arthur R. Helms Jr. of Manassas, Va.; and Donald G. Helms of Luray, Va.; four daughters, Anna M. Helms of Dallas, Texas, Michele T. Cohen of Baltimore, Md., Sandra L. Stewart of Annandale, Va., and Stephanie L. Powell of Centerville, Va.; four brothers, Herbert Helms of Connellsville, Joseph Helms of Oil City, Pa., Charles Helms of South Connellsville and James Helms of Newark, De.; two sisters, Anna Catherine Harper of Dunbar and Shelia Lee of Connellsville; and seven grandchildren. He was a retiree of U.S. Steel's Clairton Works. He was a veteran of World War II, serving with the U.S. Army, and a member of American Legion Walter Hickman Post 762 of Trotter. He was a member of Masonic Lincoln Lodge, No. 2 AF and AM. Surviving are three sons, Raleigh Graves Jr., Donald Michael Graves and Patrick Lee Graves, both of Uniontown; three daughters, Carol Lee Graves of Detroit, Mich., and Catherine D. Graves and Carrie Lynn Graves, both of Uniontown; three grandchildren; four sisters, Mrs. Arthur (Edith) Smith, Mrs. Joseph (Martha) Gaitor and Mrs. Thelma Kerns, all of Connellsville, and Isabell Graves of Pittsburgh. Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Ben (Gerry) Rapchak of Daisytown R.D.1; two granddaughters, Wendy pepper of Bethel Park and Linda Rapchak of Lewis, Del.; one brother, John Zatroch of Erie. Preceded in death by her husband, Joseph J. Gruhalla who died Feb, 25, 1981. Friends will be received in the GREENLEE FUNERAL HOME, Rt. 40, Beallsville, Thursday from 12 to 9 p.m. where funeral services will be held Friday, Feb. 11, at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. Bernard W.
