Elizabeth Agatha OLSAVSKY McPhilliamy Hamlin died peacefully in her sleep in her home in Vacaville, California, on Wednesday, December 24, 2003 where she had resided for the past 10 years. She was a loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother Great Grandmother, Sister and Homemaker. A native of Brier Hill, Fayette County, Pa., Elizabeth was born June 16, 1927. She had also resided in Cleveland, Ohio, Pittsburgh, Pa., Silver Spring, Maryland, Ridgewood, New Jersey, and Brick, New Jersey. She worked for Webster Hall in Pittsburgh, Pa., The Lighting Store in Ridgewood, New Jersey, Sears Department Store in Toms River, New Jersey, and Frequency Engineering Laboratories/Harvard Industries in Farmingdale, New Jersey. She was predeceased by her parents, John Olsavsky and Olga Brosovich Olsavsky, husbands, Robert W. McPhilliamy and Gordon A. Hamlin Sr., and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Mrs. Hamlin is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Marlane McPhilliamy Carroll and Thomas A. Carroll of Brick, New Jersey; her son and daughter-in-law, Gordon A. Hamlin Jr. and Linda Hamlin of Fairfield, California; son, Hugh C. Hamlin of Fairfield, California; six grandchildren: Patrick, Anissa, Leanne, Caroline, Robbie and Renee; five great grandchildren: Ian, Kaylee, Carl, Hannah and August; a sister and brother-in-law, Marti Olsavsky Veletto and John Veletto of Parsippany, New Jersey; a brother and sister-in-law, John and Phyllis Olsavsky of Lothian, Maryland; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Frederick Gunter Nunnally, 63, passed away on Friday, Jan. 23, 2004, at his home in El Paso, Texas, after a lengthy illness. He was preceded in death by his parents, Fay Nunnally and Ruth Sneed Nunnally; and his sister, Sue Higgins and her husband, Joe Higgins. He is survived by his wife, Virginia Sue Nunnally; his son, Dr. Kent Nunnally and his wife, Karen Nunnally from Dothan, Alabama; his daughter, Karen Blaylock and her husband Pat Blaylock of Conway, Ark.; his grandchildren, Katelyn, Michael and Matthew Nunnally and Grant, Blake and Reid Blaylock; his nephew, Mike Higgins and his wife, Carolyn and their children, Sarah and Joseph and nephew, Donnie Higgins and his wife, Chris, all of Warwick, R.I. Fred graduated from Little Rock Central High School in 1957, and from The University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, in 1964, with a degree in industrial management. He worked in manufacturing management with Sperry-Remington in Searcy, Ark.; Rockwell International in Texarkana, Ark.; Sensus Technologies in Uniontown, Pa., and Sensus de Mexico in Juarez, Mexico, where he retired in 1997. Deborah K. Hercik, 45, of Uniontown, Pa., passed away Friday, Jan. 30, 2004, in the Uniontown Hospital. She was born April 6, 1958, in Uniontown, the daughter of the late Joseph and Frances Collins Hixon. Debbie was a graduate of Laurel Highlands High School, Class of 1976, attended St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, and was a member of the Uniontown Lions Club. She was formerly a manager for the Shoe Corporation, District Manager for Morse Shoes, Assistant Manager of Hills Department Store, and Ames Department Store. Her love and passion was centered around breeding and raising Golden Retrievers. She is survived by her husband of 25 years, James A. Hercik; two daughters, Jennifer R. Hercik and Heather M. Frances Carmella Grant Zack, 87, of Uniontown, Pa., passed away suddenly on Thursday, Jan. 29, 2004, in her home. Born Feb. 2, 1916, in Revere, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Gregory Grant and Rosaliae Lucci Grant. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Ethel Campbell, her brother, James Gregory Grant; and her sister-in-law, Joanna L. Grant. Robert Alonzo Leichliter, 99, of Uniontown, Pa., passed away Friday morning, Jan. 30, 2004, in the Mt. Macrina Manor. Born Dec. 3, 1904, in Connellsville, Pa., he was the son of the late Alonzo and Ella Leichliter. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Beatrice Young Leichliter and his second wife, Wilma Silbaugh Leichliter. Also preceding him in death were his beloved daughter, Beatrice Roderick, who passed away on Aug. 14, 2003; and his brother, Earl Leichliter and his wife, Dorothy. Victoria DeCarlo, 96, of Filbert, Pa., passed away Friday, Jan. 30, 2004, in LaFayette Manor, Uniontown, Pa. She was born June 20, 1907, in Brownsville, Pa., a daughter of the late Joseph Laratta and Mary Desmonde Laratta. Victoria was a member of the Church of the Madonna, Cardale, Pa., the Confraternity of Christian Mothers, the Rosary Society, the Pietro Mecca Sons of Italy Lodge of Republic, where she was the oldest member. Victoria was a former cook in the Brownsville Area School District, and she worked as a cook in the Connecticut Tobacco fields for many years. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank DeCarlo Sr., in 1974; a son, Oresto (Butch) DeCarlo; a son-in-law, Edward Havanets; a daughter-in-law, Frances DeCarlo; sisters, Jean Spadafore, Catherine Laratta and Theresa Terrace; and brothers, James and Anthony Laratta. Victoria was the last surviving member of the Laratta Family.
