I have 5 different genealogies. How would I put them all on one memory stick-how would they be separated? Does your file get compressed like it does when you backup to a floppy? John Think of the USB memory stick as an external drive. You put files on it just as you would put them on any drive. However, one 64 meg stick will hold what about 50 floppies would hold, so you can easily get your 5 genealogies on one of them and a directory will look just like your hard drive directory. You can arrange your files in several folders just as you might separate them on the C: drive. For example: the Burns folder could hold the Burns backups, and the Jones folder could hold the Jones backups, etc. The backup compression works the same way for a memory stick as it does for the A: drive or for the C: drive, for that matter.
