    3. In my experience, using the Custom Events, with dates, places and descriptions, with sources on them has been the most efficient way to get documentation on the family. The date order will print the citations out chronologically, no matter what order you enter them in; and can generate footnotes if you're inclined to publish to the web or paper. I've included sources such as 'Oral Family History' to capture the items which are stories.
