    3. There is a misconception that all Family History Centres have the same holdings in their libraries. This is not so. They have to buy most of the helps that the Church publishes - eg. Pedigree Resource File. My local FHC does not have this as we cannot afford it.     3. There is of course another way of adding to the FHC's collections and that is for patrons, who can afford to, to donate items. I have done this in the past at the FHC I used at the time. And I know many others did the same. Just approach the Director of your local FHC if you can assist in that way. Even something as simple as ordering in sets of microfiche can go a long way to building up the collection.
