this is what I did. first for your information I had a number of "Other Events" that I had created that were NOT part of the default events offered by PAF. They had all been classed as "confidential". I also had numerous notes and multimedia attached to the original file. I exported the file and UNCHECKED Notes; Sources; Multimedia; Contact Information; confidential Data; Full Information on Living. I left only the Names on Living and Submitter CHECKED. I then exported ALL persons and gave it a name of BasicOnly. Close your real database and on File at menu click on NEW then import the BasicOnly gedcom. don't make the mistake I did and have your "real" database open or you will duplicate all your entries. That is a real headache unless you have PAF Insight. I confirmed that all the unwanted data was gone except for "other events" that are offered by default in PAF like Occupation that I had also been using. Then when you want your "real" database close the BasicOnly and return to it. Good luck! The easy "fix' is to do a merge/match. on UID and let the PAF automatically merge.
