Can two PAF5 files be combined, I am not referring to individual records? There was an original file created for my wife's family, including both her father's and mother's lines. Her father's line is much more complete. Her mother's line has a couple of hundred names, created from a pedigree chart and does not include notes. Recently, a cousin sent a gedcom file which I entered as a separate PAF 5 file, which contained his father's line as well as his mothers, the latter being the same as my wife's mothers, from their grandmothers back. His information is much more complete, and contains notes. The question is. Is there a way to disconnect the information beginning with my wife's grandmother from her PAF 5 file and connect the information beginning with my wife's grandmother from his PAF 5 file to hers, retaining all the info for her father's line? We do not want his father's info connected, since that is not her line. If it can be gone, what about the RINS? His are different than my wife's for the same individual. Maybe this is too complex a thing to do but I would like someone knowledgeable to say so. If it can't be done, then is the only way to get his info into my wife's files, to reenter from the keyboard person by person? This will be a time consuming task. I would appreciate help. Thank you.
